*FREE* VOLT Hockey Try-It Session!
September 8 @ 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Volt Hockey is an adaptive sports program designed to make hockey accessible to individuals with disabilities.
Pre-Registration is required – CLICK HERE TO REGISTER
Volt is a unique adaptation to the sport of hockey as it allows participants who have more complex needs – particularly those with limited upper mobility, to be able to play the sport that extends beyond other adaptive variations of hockey today.
This adaptive sport allows individuals with various mobility challenges to experience the excitement and camaraderie of hockey, fostering inclusivity and providing an avenue for physical activity.
Winnipeg Volt Hockey currently has teams who faceoff with each other. Starting in the FALL 2024, games and practices will be taking place on Sundays at Dakota Community Centre Fieldhouse from 3:00 – 6:00 pm. All players will be assigned timeslots for attendance during that time.
We welcome children and youth (ages 10- 18) living with disabilities and their families to come join us and learn more about this new sport opportunity. To come try it, email Sam at sanderson@varietymanitoba.com.
