Manitoba League of Persons With Disabilities Coffee House:
April 18 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Conversations about Care Collectives, what can we learn from 1010 Sinclair?
This discussion is not specifically about 1010 Sinclair but is inspired by recent events there. It is about finding ways to come together and support each other in the future.
A care collective is an alternative way of creating community around accessibility and inclusion. Sometimes when services are limited or difficult to access there is an opportunity for community to come together an imagine services in a way that meets the needs of everyone who needs them and the people who perform those services.
Anyone with lived experience with impairments or barriers to accessibility and inclusion is welcome.
When: Thursday, April 18, 2024,
Time: 6:30 to 8:30PM
Location: Old Grace Housing Coop, 200 Arlington Street, Winnipeg, in the Common Room
Light refreshments will be provided.
